October 2023: Tim Barker, Great Britain, Student Review

8/10/23

I spent a pleasant 4 days here. It’s a friendly little community to practice whatever suits your level and aspiration. There’s a timetable, but it is not a ‘boot camp’ unless you want it. (I’m 60+ and not fit, unlike some of the regular practitioners, but no problem.) There are a number of Kung Fu and more gentle Chinese and other exercises available each day. There are beginners Chinese language, calligraphy and massage classes if you wish. Plenty of time to rest and relax. Simple board and good food. Shared wash room. Lovely hill walks with very scenic views. I came away lighter and refreshed. Well worth it!
